Groups and Trips Committee
The Groups Committee is one of the distinguished committees of the Union because it is characterized by special characteristics. A number of students united by love and cooperation form a group and choose a member of the distinguished Faculty members as a leader for them to start their activity within the Group and participate in competitions between Groups held by the Student Union in all sports, artistic, cultural and social work activities in a wonderful cohesion that aims to reach the integrated personality, where students develop their talents and innovations within groups. An annual festival is held for groups at the Faculty level and then at the University level, in which different groups compete to highlight their most important achievements. The winner receives valuable prizes for each activity. Since 2004-2005, the International Student Festival has started, where students from each community compete to show the arts, customs and traditions of their country, and the committee organizes many educational and recreational trips.
The Sports Committee
The Sports Committee represents one of the distinguished committees within the Students’ Union. The Sports Committee at the Faculty of Agriculture - Cairo University has a distinguished role among Cairo University Student Union committees. The Committee supervises the sports center in the Faculty, which includes:
Football, handball, volleyball and basketball courts.
- tennis .
- Fitness hall at the highest level of preparation.
- Swimming pool.
- A wrestling ring and a boxing ring.
- Billiards and table tennis hall
The Center sponsors all talents and sports teams. The center with all its facilities available to all Faculty students supervised by a group of distinguished specialists aims to discover, polish and develop sports talents and to generalize the practice of sports.
The Cultural Committee
The Cultural Committee aims to refine and develop young talents in various cultural aspects through:
1- Organizing cultural competitions in (short story, poetry, vernacular poetry(Zajal) and essay.)
2- Organizing religious competitions (the Holy Quran Memorization Competition - the Prophetic Hadiths Competition).
3- Organizing and holding seminars (cultural - religious - artistic - social - etc.).
4- The Committee also provides a great opportunity for talented journalists by participating in the work of bulletins and Agriculture Magazine
Social Committee and Student Service
1- The Committee provides its services to needy students in complete secrecy.
2- Supervising the Social Solidarity Fund.
3- Organizing chess competitions
4- It adopts blood donation campaigns in favour of hospitals, oncology institutes and blood banks.
5- It holds two exhibitions for ready-made clothes for Faculty students at nominal prices supported by the Social Solidarity Fund, through which it provides a variety of clothes suitable for all young people.
6- Supervising the Rest Place of female students.
7- The committee provides external services such as child care in various orphanages.
Artistic Committee
Art is very important in our life. Therefore, the artistic committee aims to develop the aesthetic sense and artistic taste and refine the talent of creativity through:
- Theatrical acting.
- Plastic arts (drawing - carving - decoration - oil painting - photography - Arabic calligraphy - handicrafts).
- Group and individual singing.
- Playing music on various instruments
The members of each team are trained by specialized trainers in the student activities hall and the Faculty's studio.
Scouting and Public Services Committee
The Scouting and Public Services activity is based on the Scout and Guiding Movement as a global movement that aims to raise the individual in a sound upbringing through the principles he receives in each of the following:
- The camp of choosing the roving clan in the Faculty.
- Preparation camp to train individuals on various skills that will benefit them in their future life.
- The annual festival of scouting and guiding for the University Faculties.
- Training on the principles of first aid.
- Beach camps during summer.
Scientific Committee
The committee offers you an opportunity to participate in:
- Holding scientific seminars and lectures.
- Making scientific exhibitions.
- Developing scientific and technological capabilities and spreading knowledge.
- Conducting scientific research and competitions.
